What you say matters, don't f**k it up
We all know when we’ve said the wrong thing. But do you know when you get it right? Does your business deliver the right message to the right people at the right time.
Word can destroy lives.
Create beliefs or shatter them.
We all know when we’ve said the wrong thing. I'd put money on the fact you've had a foot-in-mouth moment, where you realised how ill-judged your comment was seconds after it left your mouth.
But do you know when you get it right? When you've said exactly the right thing at the right time to the right person?
Are you happy with the messages your customers and prospects see whenever they interact with your brand?
Are your headline eye-catching and search friendly?
Is your first line a strong hook?
Is it completely and utterly blindingly obvious with no potential for misunderstanding exactly what your reader should do next?
In case you hadn't guessed it's the last part where I see brands fall down time and again. I see copy sucking people in and then... nothing! Perhaps a vague mention of a handing over some money or a muttering about a newsletter.
You need a clear call to action.
Nobody should be left hanging at the end of a piece of content. It's like standing with your arm out for a high five and nothing... you just feel like a wally.
Don't do that to your readers.
